We Love… the Triple Negative Breast Cancer Foundation

Yesterday we explained the basics of triple negative breast cancer. It’s a complicated subject, with implications on both aggressiveness of the cancer and treatment options.

Today we’d like to shine a little ray of light on some good news about that type of cancer. There’s an impressive organization called, succinctly enough, the Triple Negative Breast Cancer Foundation. Their mission is simple:

“We strive to be a credible source for triple negative breast cancer information, a catalyst for science and patient advocacy groups, and a caring community with meaningful services for patients and their families.”

Research on ways to better characterize the different types of breast cancer, including triple negative cancers and treatment options are being conducted currently. The foundation hosts symposiums annually to gather researchers and innovators together to address the needs of women affected by the disease.

The Triple Negative Breast Cancer Foundation is a strong community for a special group of people whose need is strong. There are many great organizations helping women in the fight against breast cancer, and if you’re a regular reader of this site, you know we appreciate them each and all. Recognizing that breast cancer is not just one disease and having dedicated, committed individuals focusing efforts on expanding knowledge and thereby options for women facing triple negative breast cancer is a ray of hope.
